The Story Behind AntoYitos Borincanos
AntoYitos Borincanos is more than a Puerto Rican food truck in San Diego County—it’s a tribute to family, heritage, and the enduring flavors of Puerto Rico. Founded by sisters Jennifer and Nadeshka Roman, the business was created to share authentic Puerto Rican cuisine with communities throughout Southern California while honoring the memory of their father.
Jennifer and Nadeshka were born in Puerto Rico and raised in the coastal town of Camuy, where they grew up watching their father pursue his passion for cooking. He became a chef and dreamed of sharing his love for Puerto Rican food with others. Although he sadly passed away in 2006, his passion and dedication left a lasting impression on his daughters.
To honor his legacy, the sisters founded AntoYitos Borincanos, naming the food truck after their father’s nickname, “Yito.” Their logo serves as a tribute to both their Puerto Rican roots and the passions that defined their father’s life. Today, every meal they prepare reflects the traditions, flavors, and family values that inspired the business, bringing a taste of Puerto Rico to customers across San Diego County and Southern California.
